Abstract

The rapid expansion of e-learning platforms has transformed the educational landscape, offering flexibility and accessibility to learners worldwide. However, managing these platforms effectively requires a robust Management Information System (MIS) that ensures seamless administration, course delivery, and performance tracking. This study focuses on the Framework Design of a Management Information System in an E-learning Environment to address the growing need for an integrated and efficient system. The research employs a combination of literature review, needs assessment, and case study analysis to identify best practices in MIS design and implementation. Key components of the proposed framework include user management, course management, content management, performance tracking, and communication tools, each tailored to meet the unique demands of e-learning environments. The system architecture follows a layered approach to ensure scalability, security, and integration with existing platforms. The framework’s design process involved gathering requirements from educators, students, and administrators through surveys and interviews, followed by system design and testing through simulations and stakeholder feedback. The implementation strategy emphasizes a phased rollout, user training, and continuous system improvement. This study contributes to the body of knowledge by offering a comprehensive MIS framework that enhances the administrative efficiency, learning experience, and overall management of e-learning environments. The framework serves as a model for educational institutions aiming to improve their digital learning infrastructure.
