ASSESSING THE INFLUENCE OF MULTIMEDIA RESOURCES ON TEACHING BIOLOGY EDUCATION IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN DELTA STATE

ABSTRACT
This research project explores the impact of multimedia resources on biology education in tertiary institutions within Delta State, Nigeria. With the ever-evolving technological landscape, multimedia resources have become increasingly prevalent in education, offering diverse opportunities for enhanced learning experiences. This study seeks to assess the extent to which multimedia resources are utilized, their influence on biology education, and the associated challenges faced by educators in tertiary institutions. Three research questions guided the study. The study adopted survey design. The population of the study comprised thirty (30) educators/lecturers in the two selected tertiary institutions. The instrument was validated by two experts. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics of mean. The study further confirmed the utilization of multimedia resources in teaching biology education will improve the learning outcome, Finally, the researches recommended among others, proper professional development on the use of multimedia resources, resources development, infrastructure support and curriculum development These recommendations, if properly effected would enhance educators of biology education in tertiary institutions.
