EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON LEARNING OUTCOMES IN HIGHER EDUCATION

ABSTRACT
This research project examines the influence of technology on learning outcomes in higher education, focusing on the evolving role of technology in education. The study reviews existing literature and conducts empirical research to understand how technology affects student achievement and engagement. The research employs a simple random methods approach, including surveys, (sample technique), three research questions were formulated. The population of the study comprised 100 students and 100 questionnaires were distributed among the students selected randomly from two tertiary institutions in Oshimili south local government area of Delta state. The instrument was validated by two experts. Data collected were analyzed using analyzed using descriptive statistics of mean. The findings from this study will provide valuable recommendations such as encouraging collaborative learning environments that leverage technology for student engagement, government/policy makers should support initiatives that integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum and also develop policies that ensure equitable access to technology, addressing the digital divide etc. for the incorporating of technology in teaching/learning in higher education.
